Passport Related Work Simplified with MEA’s Passport Seva App

Passport Seva App, by the Ministry of External Affairs, brings passport services such as applying for new passport, renewals or fees payments to people’s fingertips. It makes the process convenient, more accessible and user friendly, even in rural areas with limited access to computers networks.
The Passport Seva app is available on both Android and iOS platforms. Using this app, citizens can avail of the following services easily:
- Apply for a new passport or renewal
- Schedule appointments at nearby Passport Seva Kendras (PSKs) or Post Office Passport Seva Kendras (POPSKs)
- Calculate fees and make online payments
- Track their application and delivery status in real time.
The app also provides a list of required documents for different services, helping applicants prevent errors during application submission. Users can locate the nearest PSK, POPSK, or police station based on their location. A section for frequently asked questions and useful information has also been included.
Regional Passport Officer Dr. Arjun Deore urged citizens to make use of this facility. He said the app is a “one-stop solution” for passport services, allowing people to complete the entire process from the comfort of their homes. For many applicants who earlier had to depend on cyber cafés or agents, this app saves time, effort, and money while ensuring data security and authenticity since it is government-authorised.
Downloading the app is simple. Search for “Passport Seva” on Google Play Store or Apple App Store, register or log in with their existing Passport Seva Portal ID, and then start filling forms, uploading documents, and booking appointments.
